Almamy is an Electro pop artist formally from Dakar, Senegal, and now based in New York. He started out as a dancer and an actor in his early teens, performing locally until he won a scholarship to study and dance in Paris in the late nineties.
Obliviously keeping good company with producers Peter McLean (D1 Music) and Mike Degen (RuPaul, Heavy D), Almamy's voice is of a distinctive tone, especially after we heard "French Kiss".
Almamy is currently working on a self-titled debut. Release is expected later this year. The double A-side single "Don't Ask Me / French Kiss" preceded the LP in mid-August and is available on iTunes. So we say church to this and tell you to head off to your nearest browser and buy!
