In case you insensitive clods overlooked this one as much as we did............Madonna turns 50th. And we at the frames want to thank her for the many hits (and some misses) that she has contributed to Pop Culture and media in general.
I mean who could forget that SEX book....hell I can't, or those cones she'd used as a bra, and voguing, oh voguing......who could forget that!!!! Strike the pose!......or was it "Straight the pose"?
Anyways yes she still brings her A-game to the table no matter how many Perez Hilton entries you read about her and her diminishing looks. What you Gen Ys fail to realize is that this one person will forever be an a legend, an icon, the very thing that would make the late Andy Warhol raise from his grave and give her a corpse flavored kiss!
So do you have a favorite Madonna moment?.....ours was when she released "Confessions on the Dancefloor" to the masses
Now for some factual facts about this album. Did you know that there was a limited pressing of the now infamous"Pink Vinyl" from this album? It's true because I used to own a copy of it.....but I stupidly gave it away as a parting gift for my friend....yeah I kinda like that with precious vinyl collections, especially prized ones at that!
But besides that, I really enjoyed that album.......Why you say? Well amongst the rife of other things that didn't peel the Madonna Banana with me, "Confessions on the dancefloor" was something of an honest album. It had good hooks, good samples and good production in the form of Stuart Price and Mirwais.
I mean out of her many albums, Confessions on The dancefloor will always be a favorite of mines ranked in their in my lifetime top 10.
