So apparently there are been a slew of remixes for P-Money's new single "Everything" featuring R n B sensation Vince Harder. This is probably one of P-money's greatest tracks he has ever produced, even though "Big Things" is by far probably best hip hop produced album from New Zealand ever. This is a bold statement from a blog like ours due to fact that we know in our hearts that New Zealand hip hop suck shitballs and we never liked it. We find the scene a very intimidating because these rap acts from New Zealand either have the problem of being too American sounding, or it just sucking up the air with nonsensical garbage full stop and takes itself way too seriously! Hey guys....you're not in America!
Now for the remixes of "Everything". Its been more of a hit and miss combination. I heard Dick Johnson's remix at One Love......his touch did nothing to enhance the track. In fact I barely remember any of it, just his shit set at One Love, oh boo woo!
And the less I don't talk about General Lee's remix (which is shittier to even fathom), the less chances I would say something that I know everyone around him would say to him if they had the guts to........You're a pussy General Lee!
Now when I demo music, I imply a rule of thumbs which is listen to the first 4 bars, if the first 4 bars of a song, tune, track, whatever tickles me aurally and I want more of it, then its a clear indication that yes I would want to part and invest my ears for the entirety of the tune or best case scenario.....I would want to buy the album, the LP, the CD, hell even the DVD!
But enough of my methods, I'm sure everyone has their way of processing a tune in their heads, in order to establish within their minds view on whether they would like to invest more into the band or persons music. I'm just comfortable with using that.so you want to know the worst remix of "Everything"? Well if the graffiti photo wasn't a clear indication, then you need a serious smackdown!
So the creme de la crap goes to local record store owner and overall ginge Nick Collings. Old Nicholas here (pictured with his AZN) took it upon himself to do a remix of P-Money's "Everything" and of course being the Aucklander with a bucket of balls and a big old bucket of fail, fucked it up with his take on the hit single...poor P-money, now he'll think most of us dance DJs can't do a single good remix of his tune!
And what was wrong with said remix from Nicholas here......alot of things. First he strips the original structure of the song by speeding up the tempo, then putting some cheesy tribal percussion on top of it, and just the filter is a little too much and a little too typical of a Dj cum producer who is a little over his head to think that his remix is of passable grade......this is one big bucket of fail! What you fail to realize here Nicholas is that your ears are full of shit to think that just because you're got your friends over at NZ Rave giving you praise and adulation for doing a stellar job on the remix, does mean that you get the support of this blog or the blogsphere. Part time tune encyclopedia?......Oh please!

At least the DJs that you mentioned are ACTUALLY DJs. You can't even mix. You couldn't mix to save yourself and using the last couple of years as an example, you'll NEVER learn how to mix.
