Less than a month after releasing their highly acclaimed sophomore album Love and Terror, The Cinematics have introduced their newest video for second single “New Mexico.” Directed by Marcus Harben, the video portrays a classic house party scene, complete with friends hanging out, flirting and a big ol’ dose of jealously.
“Are we staring at the same stars?” repeated by front man Scott Rinning, accompanied by the track’s catchy opening and closing melody, will be sure to stick in your head and keep your foot tapping long after first listen.
“New Mexico” will be introduced to the world Sunday, November 1st on LOGO’s newnownext video show, and will be added to the video rotation for the next few weeks. You can also check it out at The Cinematics’ official YouTube page right now if you just can’t wait until Sunday!
Love And Terror is currently available in all stores.

What The Press Says About The Cinematics:
“The Cinematics make music as beautiful as any Scottish picture postcard… deft and charming… It’s the sound of rainbows bursting through the Tarmac of the big city.” - NME
“These four Scottish musicians have painted a great musical landscape that could only be described as stunning. The Cinematics are back and boy does this album scream ingenuity, passion, honesty, and brilliance. Taking the darker elements of 80’s pop and blending in sharp hooks, melodic passages and rudimentary arrangements, The Cinematics’ Love And Terror is absolutely a great record not to be passed up..” – Frantik Magazine
“The album begins with low-down lyrics and dark imagery, when out of nowhere comes a wave of high energy, pop-driven synths as sweet as candy in ‘New Mexico.’” – Filter
“The Cinematics make perfect dark new wave/pop that sounds as good as they look… manages an epic slickness and diversity that stuns” – Sentimentalist
“The Cinematics capture the romanticism of the bleak north country with real passion” – Teen Vogue
