This video was directed by the ridiculously talented Stefan Nadelman, winner of a 2003 Sundance prize for his 22 minute film 'Terminal Bar', a prolific animator in the commercial field and the mastermind behind the Menomena “Evil Bee” video.

Ramona Falls is Brent Knopf's first solo venture, but he has an extensive musical resume as part of trio Menomena (an indie rock band from Portland, OR, that's snagged plaudits from such tastemakers as Pitchfork Media and the New York Times.) Menomena's last album (Friend & Foe, Barsuk), in fact, was nominated for a Grammy -- for best recording package. (Hey, it counts.) You can hear two brand new Ramona Falls tracks here www.myspace.com/ramonafalls.

For the Ramona Falls project, named after a childhood hiking trail on Mt. Hood, Brent collaborated extensively with musicians in Portland and New York. He has a cat, a raging chocolate addiction, and a penchant for weaving acoustic and electronic sounds into songs that feel at once real and surreal.

Please reply with all requests for audio, bio, interviews.

Some kind words on Intuit:

Zero gravity compositions perfect for floating in space. (On) the tense, terrific “Russia,” Knopf’s high, hazy voice floats lazily over a tight acoustic strum like an astronaut cut loose from his shuttle.” - RollingStone.com

If you like lush, yearning rock, Ramona is very likely right up your starry-eyed alley.- EW.com

A spacey, keys-heavy indie rock hike in the woods. Golden, wonky, artsy bliss.” - Philadelphia Weekly

A record full of memorable surprises. Worth taking in over and over again.- Pitchfork – 8.0

Intuit was performed by Brent Knopf, with guest appearances by 35 friends (including members of The Helio Sequence, Mirah, Loch Lomond, 31 Knots, Talkdemonic, Nice Nice, Tracker, Dat'r, Dear Reader, 3 Leg Torso, and Matt Sheehy).
