Blue Monday

By Conan the Destroyer

Yep as said in the title of this entry...Its definitely blue this Monday. But all is not lost thus far because I as a Dj and a profound and rather outspoken blogger representing the under-rated blog house community has like anyone else in this world has a job to do.

So lets start by saying that my weekend was killer. I went to a farewell party held at Cross St Studios for my friend's sister who is heading off to Berlin (lucky bitch!), and I actually had a good time. Normally I don't go out on Saturday's because of the lack in variety of parties that are around in Aucks, but I went to Cross St. met up with some friends, chatted away and slept over another friends house via their fantastic couch, because I believe in this mantra from a famous song which I quote

"We are......your friends. You'll never be alone again...so come on!"

This week we at the frames will be implementing some new features and removing some old ones. Firstly what will be removed from our blog is the "Big Wednesday" entry. The reason for this is that we are getting alot of tunes from Bedroom Deejays (cum producers) and bands that we should concentrate on that instead of tunes that we bought from Beatport, Bleep and Juno.

Our biggest score to date was "Kids on TV" who not only gave us their full Album ("Mixing Business with Pleasure") for free, but has given us tunes for people to preview while you go and get their album (RIGHT NOW!!!!!). And we made a wonderful yet magical connection!

This is the type of feeling we love sooo much here at the frames that we want to continue with it by making good relationships with artists overseas!

So in the end this won't be such a big lost on Wednesday, and why should it be? Just because we cut something like "Big Wednesday" away from our regular entries, doesn't mean that you can't get free tunes.....that still will happen when my "Top 5" will now become a "Top 10". And in case you don't know how my "Top 5" raking goes, then allow me to briefly touch on it.

  1. Each week I get new tunes from either artists that I've contacted, or from the now major blogsites that are floating abouts in cyberland
  2. Then I listen to them and determine whether or not I'll put them in my countdown for that week, or just leave them on the Hard-Drive and revisit them in later date
  3. And after that, I make a new post (which will be on a Wednesday) and you get them at 320 Kbps in full audio splendor!

So its still free music, and all the permissions are taken care of!

Also coming soon, is Video Game reviews......yah! The Video Bastard will be doing video games from both the past and present as well as writing blogs based on the latest news from the Video gaming world, isn't that cute?

Be on the look out also for the G.I Network which will be coming soon to YouTube. Think of it as an extension of the Nerdy Frames Blog except in video form. Our first show will be from the Video Bastard as he will step into the funny world of online video game reviews that are now the "it" thing (Angry Video Game Nerd anyone?)

Isn't this shit exciting folks? Thanks to all our readers, and keep it real!
