This little gem of a band was kind of an accidental stumble upon when I was perusing the interwebs at one of my regulars (sounds like I'm going to bar or something) visits to blog house site IHEARTCOMIX.COM.
Little Pictures are Johanna Freeman and Mark Turner. They live in Wellington together where they play electronic pop music and hang out on the internet. Some people call them cute, but they're actually bad to the bone!
Having been recently signed to Lil' Chief Records, the next few months will see Little Pictures release their debut album "Owl + Owl".
Shaun Slaughter at IHEARTCOMIX.COM must really love them to make a comparison to another pop band, Peter, Bjorn and John stating that they'll be huge just like them........Well if its any indication "Little Pictures" you may as well roll with that! Bankroll those Americans!
The duo are currently on tour at the moment in Australia and we sooo can't wait to get our little mitts on their debut album...Sorry folks, our diet of New Zealand music has been rather lacking, so forgive our ignorance if evident within this entry.
