Gerome SPORTELLI

By Steak n Tease

What a Discovery we made here at the frames. For months, hell years even, there was this one track that Miss Kittin has been dropping in her fantastic sets for quite some time now, and we have been pondering what the fuck that track was called, and the artist that produced it!?

alter ego & miss kittin @ astropolis 2005

Well after viewing this youtube footage, there was a comment that was made in reference to said track.......

NEPZONER (1 month ago)
First track of Miss kittin Dj set is:

Gerome Sportelli , "Growth" released on KRAX Records, Acid Krax Vol II ...

Yes there was our moment of clarity right there! This is the reason why we are such nerds, and why everyone else in Auckland can suck it!

Not much is known about Gerome Sportelli from our end, but we're willing to bet our money, hell our websites dangerous reputation that he is the one to look out for! In fact from what we've read from the KRAX's myspace page (a Label started up by Gerome Sportelli), he has been doing techno since the early nineties!

Spotelli also hails from Belgium! And guess who else hails from Belgium?............Soulwax!!!! (What is in that water of theirs!)

In fact I've been jamming a preview only version of "Growth" (The Track dropped in by Miss Kittin) for almost a whole week! That is insanity! We have been in communication with Mr. Sportelli via email and he said that "Growth" was never intended be a digital release, which is fine but it will make us more eager to hunt down the vinyl version seems as how in that video, Miss Kittin only played a wax version of the track!

Go to Beatport.comGet These TracksAdd This Player

After various emails to Mr. Sportelli upon requesting a 320Kbps of "Growth" under a proviso that we gave him our word that we will buy his entire back catalog from Beatport, we're still awaiting his response for us to drop this mean bomb into our sets! I mean hell its okay if we don't get zip from him, bottom line is, that we love it and we would go to any lengths to retrieve said track!

You can buy his releases on Beatport or better yet look for "Growth" its a fucking awesome track!

And give him some myspace love at his myspace page

An open letter to a guy named Gerome

By Conan The Destroyher

This is how far that the Blah Blah Blahs are willing to go to get themselves fresh tunes!

Hello Gerome Sportelli and greetings from Auckland, New Zealand.

We have been looking for one of your tracks entitled "Growth", which we believe is a popular track Miss Kittin has been dropping on your behalf.

We've looked everywhere! Beatport, Junodownload, Bleep.com, Turntable lab. You name it, we couldn't find it!

Is there anyway that we can get you to send "Growth" through an email instead (320 Kbps preferable)? We would love to drop this beautiful gem at our next gig. I know you want us to pay for it, but as said earlier we couldn't find it on any paid MP3 site.

Let us know if there is another option as we will pay top dollar for the digital track of "Growth"

Thank you and love

Ouch! Wish us luck on that front.

The track in question that we're looking for is "Growth" which has been a record box favorite of the Blahs favorite Dj and all rounded woman Miss Kittin!

Check this video with Alter Ego and listen to the very first track she starts off with

As for the Blahs, this is probably the lowest they've stooped to!
